Traffic Warrants Explained
By San Diego Traffic Attorneys
A traffic warrant issues most often when an individual fails to resolve something with the court.
The “Hook & Book”
When you fail to appear on a traffic ticket, the court not only adds an additional $300 fine (called a civil assessment) to the ticket’s cost, they set in motion a Driver’s License Suspension.
When your license is suspended, and you are pulled over for driving, the officer will run a license check. If it comes back as suspended, the officer has authority to tow the vehicle you’re driving and arrest you for a misdemeanor.
